Goods in

Stock arriving is where most discrepancies are created and where almost nobody looks. We book deliveries in advance, count every one to a bin, and tell you the same day if the count is wrong.

What it produces

Goods in, as you see it.

Every delivery produces a record like this one — expected against counted, the bin each line went to, and any shortage raised while the pallet is still on the floor.

How it runs

Four steps, in order.

  1. Booked before it arrivesYou add the delivery to the goods-in diary with a date, a supplier and an expected quantity. The floor sees it coming, so a pallet never turns up unannounced and sits in a corner.
  2. Counted against the bookingReceiving is done against what you said was coming, not against whatever the paperwork in the box claims. Units are counted, not cartons taken on trust.
  3. Put away to a binEvery unit is scanned into a specific bin location rather than a general area, which is what makes the stock figure meaningful afterwards.
  4. Discrepancies raised that dayShort, over, damaged or unexpected SKUs are flagged to you while the delivery is still on the floor and the supplier conversation is still worth having.
What that includes

What that includes.

  • Deliveries booked in a shared diary you can see
  • Unit-level counts, not carton counts
  • Scanned into named bin locations on putaway
  • Shortages and damages reported the day they land
  • Photographs of anything that arrives damaged
  • New SKUs barcoded at intake if they arrive without one
What we need from you
  • The delivery booked in, with a date and an expected quantity
  • A purchase order or supplier reference to count against
  • Barcodes on the units, or tell us and we will apply them here
  • A heads-up on anything fragile, hanging or temperature-sensitive
What you get back
  • A goods-received note per delivery, line by line
  • Bin locations for everything put away
  • Photographs of damage or incorrect stock
  • Shortages and overs raised the day they land
  • Stock live in your dashboard as soon as it is away
The honest bit

We will not quietly absorb a short delivery to keep the day moving. If a supplier sends 480 against a booking of 500, you will hear about it that afternoon — which occasionally means an awkward conversation you would rather not have had.
