Wholesale returns
Bulk stock coming back from a stockist has no customer order to match it to. It is a different job to a consumer return and it is handled as one.
Its own reference, not an order number
Counted per box
Evidence is a counted report, not video
Recovered where it is saleable
Wholesale returns, as you see it.
Counted box by box against the stockist's declaration, so a shortfall is attributable to one box rather than being a number at the end of a consignment. The counted report is the evidence — wholesale runs without video.
45 short against the declaration. Counted box by box, so the shortfall is attributable to WB-LT0221 rather than being a number at the end of a consignment.
Four steps, in order.
- Booked as a bulk returnThe consignment gets its own WHSE- reference rather than being forced into the consumer returns flow it does not fit. There is no customer order to look up, so the bench does not go looking for one.
- Counted box by boxEach box is scanned in under its own reference and counted against what the stockist declared. A shortfall is then attributable to a box rather than appearing as one number at the end.
- Condition checkedRetail-handled stock comes back marked, mixed and often re-tagged. Each box is assessed, and security and retail tags removed where you want them gone.
- Reported, then recovered or graded outYou get the counted report with the differences on it. Anything saleable is recovered, re-bagged and restocked; the rest is graded and separated.
What that includes.
- Handled without a consumer order to match against
- Counted against the stockist's declared quantity
- Discrepancies evidenced and reported to you
- Retail tags and security tags removed
- Recovered, re-bagged and restocked where possible
- Box and consignment tracking retained
- What the stockist says they are returning
- Whether you want retail and security tags removed
- Your view on what is worth recovering at this value
- Handled without a consumer order to match
- Counted per box against the declared quantity
- A counted report showing exactly where any shortfall sat
- Retail and security tags removed
- Recovered, re-bagged and restocked where possible
Two things to know. Wholesale returns are not filmed — there is no consumer dispute to evidence, so the camera is off by design and what you get is the counted report instead. And bulk returns almost never match the paperwork exactly, so we count what arrived and show you the difference rather than accepting the stockist's number — which sometimes means you are the one raising it with them.

Wholesale picking
Trade orders picked from the same stock pool as your DTC, so you are not holding two piles of inventory or reconciling two sets of numbers.
Pallets & cartons
Trade shipments built, wrapped, labelled and booked onto a pallet carrier, with the carton contents recorded so the receiving end can check against something.
Retailer compliance
Stockists have labelling and paperwork rules, and getting them wrong means a chargeback or a rejected delivery.
